Lisa Snowdon

Television presenter, radio DJ, model, pin-up and all round girl next door, Lisa Snowdon has firmly established herself as much more than just a pretty face. As well as being one of the UK’s most successful models of recent years, Lisa has also carved out a hugely successful career in television and radio.

Lisa currently co-hosts the Capital Radio Breakfast Show with Dave Berry, London’s number one breakfast show (with over 1,100,000 listeners) and continues to star in Marks & Spencer’s on-going TV, print and billboard advertising campaigns.

2012 will also see Lisa host a brand new series on Discovery, that will air internationally in the Autumn. The series, entitled Body Confidential, is a makeover format show where the husband takes control of his wife’s wardrobe.

Having been brought up in Welwyn Garden City, Lisa enrolled at the Italia Conti School of Performing Arts to study acting and dance. However she was soon scouted at a nightclub by a leading modelling agency and instead began her highly successful modelling career.

As well as numerous fashion shoots for the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan, Lisa also starred in advertising campaigns for big brands including Mercedes Benz, Martini, Lynx, Gossard and Fabergé. It was, however, her appearance on the Kellogg’s Special K commercial that initially led to interest from TV broadcasters, enquiring about possible presenting opportunities.

Starting on MTV Select, Lisa began honing her presenting skills and has since regularly worked in both the UK and US presenting for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Living TV, Fox, VH-1 and MTV. Lisa’s presenting credits include LA Pool Party (BBC), movie specials (C4), Top of the Pops (BBC), All Access (VH-1), the Oscars (VH-1) and slots on This Morning (ITV).

Lisa’s more recent TV work has included hosting 4 series of Britain’s Next Top Model for Living and in 2008 Lisa and her dance partner, Brendan Cole, made it to the finals of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing. Earlier that year, the beautiful brunette had starred in Celebrity Apprentice on BBC1 for Sports Relief, co-presented BBC2’s perennial favourite, Through The Keyhole, alongside Sir David Frost, and co-presented the BBC’s coverage of Royal Ascot.

Lisa is also an ambassador for Breast Cancer Care having lost a family member to the disease. In this capacity, Lisa attends events organised by the charity and regularly hosts their annual Pink Ball at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Lisa has also become an ambassador for the Meningitis Trust, having come down with the virus in December 2010, from which she made a full recovery.
