“Forgive us for what we have done, ‘cause we’re young.”
‘The Female Boss’ Makes Triumphant Return To Music With Debut Solo Single
N-Dubz superstar Tulisa returns to the UK music scene this Spring with her debut solo single ‘Young’, released through Island Records/All Around The World on 29th April 2012.
‘Young’ is a cool slice of electro pop/dance, produced by STL (Fazer and Pete Ibsen). Tulisa’s distinctive vocals soar over a pulsating bass line and club beats, to create a consummate pop smash. Lyrically the track talks of the mistakes made during youth but learning valuable lessons. As Tulisa sings: ‘I make mistakes that I learn from, ‘cause I’m young.’
The track is the first single to be taken from Tulisa’s highly anticipated debut album, due for release later in 2012. Tulisa has been recording the set in both the UK and USA with the cream of the world’s top producers including The-Dream (Rihanna, Mariah Carey), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Fergie), Rico Love (Usher, Lil Wayne) and legendary songwriter Diane Warren.
Tulisa achieved massive success as a member of N-Dubz, without question one of the most culturally significant groups in contemporary British pop music. Their albums 'Uncle B,' 'Against All Odds' and 'Love.Live.Life' have to-date sold over 1 million copies in the UK. With over 100 million views on YouTube, a No.1 best selling book and four MOBO Award wins, Tulisa and N-Dubz are among the most powerful names in music.
Since being announced as an X Factor judge in 2011, Tulisa’s career has gone supernova. She has over 1.7 million followers on Twitter and has become a national obsession, gracing the pages of tabloids daily and the cover of magazines on a weekly basis. After winning over the hearts of the British public on The X Factor in 2011 with her warmth and honesty on the panel, Tulisa went on to win the show with band ‘Little Mix’, the first girl group ever to reach the final.
Now with a debut album nearing completion, Tulisa is primed and ready to begin phase two of her incredible music career.
