2011’S X-FACTOR WINNERS RETURN WITH THEIR EAGERLY ANTICIPATED FIRST ORIGINAL MATERIAL
Five months after winning the 2011 series of The X Factor, Little Mix triumphantly return with their new single ‘Wings’, released through Syco/Sony Music on 19th August 2012.
Built on a strident soul and r’n’b-flavoured rhythm and featuring an astonishing vocal turn from each member, ‘Wings’ marks Little Mix out as a truly captivating new act. The four girls - Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have taken their time working on music for their debut album and the first offering from it is a distinctive, attention-grabbing pop smash.
‘Wings’ is produced by British hitmakers TMS (Professor Green – “Read All About It”, Dappy – “No Regrets”) and co-written by the girls themselves. With its positive lyrical message, unrivalled production and exhilarating energy, ‘Wings’ perfectly distils and encapsulates what makes Little Mix the pop group to watch out for in 2012.
Although Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Jade originally auditioned for the X Factor as solo performers, under the tutelage of judge and mentor Tulisa Contostavlos they joined forces to become Little Mix, X Factor’s first ever victorious group. Having captured the hearts and minds of the nation with their winning chemistry, musical sensibility and breath-taking vocal prowess, the girls shot straight to No.1 with their debut single ‘Cannonball’.
